1999 – May 2000 WTCI Cable-
Lead Provisioning Technician WTCI was a new start up. My duties included:
Setting up their provisioning department, creating an order flow process,
designing the CLRs and engineering packages, be used, set test and turn-up
standards, install and build the data base in the TBS Order Creation and
Engineering Software, and helping turn-up their Nortel OC 48 Rings, OC 192
BLSR, DWDM systems and Alcatel under ocean fiber muxes. WTCI went under. Oct
1996 – June 1999 TCG/ATT LOCAL- Communications
Technician I was one of two technicians TCG hired to turn-up
their new central office and OC48 ring. I supervised the contractors with the
installation of the co-lo cages and the equipment in the central office. With
the exception of the DMS switch, I provisioned and turned all of the
equipment in the co-lo cages and the central office. This equipment included,
Nortel fiber muxes, power rectifiers and generators (ran the power leads to
equipment), the Titian 5500 DACS, channel banks and Routers. After the installation was completed, my duties
were to order, install, test and turn-up circuits at DS3 level and above and
install Nortel OC3’s, routers and channel banks at customer locations. I also
did maintenance and upgrades on the equipment, and did circuit repair. I left when WTCI
